This watch has the Omega hand-wound calibre 1861 and a diameter of 42 mm, which is classic for the Speedmaster. This Omega is on a leather strap with the original Omega buckle, the original Omega leather strap (heavily worn) with the original Omega folding clasp in steel is enclosed.
The Speedmaster is without question the best-known and most successful model series of the Omega brand, and it is also one of the most famous chronographs in the watch cosmos. The ‘Speedy’ achieved its greatest popularity with the moon landing of the Apollo missions on 21 July 1969, when Buzz Aldrin wore an Omega Speedmaster on his wrist.
