Wonderful Patek Philippe Gondolo Calendario annual calendar with the reference number 5135G-001 in 18k white gold. Measuring 40 x 50 mm, this Gondolo also has the classic rectangular case. This Patek is in very good condition and comes on a Kaufmann leather strap with the original PP buckle in 18k white gold (normally this reference was only delivered with a buckle) - if the delivery with an 18k PP folding clasp (as shown) is requested, the price increases by 2000.- € in exchange with the buckle. With its tonneau or rectangular case, dynamic lines and clear geometry, the Gondolo is a modern and contemporary interpretation of Art Déco design. This art movement of the early 20th century combined avant-garde design and traditional craftsmanship to create high-quality goods. With the Gondolo, Patek Philippe pays homage to this style by designing a watch with an unusual shape and elaborate construction. This model owes its name to the jewelry house Gondolo & Labouriau in Rio de Janeiro, which was once a famous customer and Brazilian retailer for whom Patek Philippe produced many special series of the so-called "Chronometro Gondolo" watches from 1902 to 1930. In addition to its iconic design, this "Gondolo Calendario" also features an annual calendar. This mechanism recognizes the different 30 and 31-day months and automatically displays the correct date, month and day of the week every day. It only needs to be reset once a year, on March 1, using the crown or pushers. In addition, a window in the 24-hour display on the lower half of the dial shows the phases of the moon with the utmost precision.
